Why we like East York

East York is a family-friendly area with some great potential development lots, from bungalows on wide lots to homes ready for an addition or a multiplex. It is also a few minutes from some of the best restaurants in the city on the Danforth.

"Shout out to my Greeks! Head to the Danforth and go to Athens, where anything on the menu is good, and Soula's for some great Greek food."
Spiro Vrysellas, Broker

Where to eat and what to do

  • Athens. Get anything on their menu, it is all good. A Danforth institution since 1977.
  • Soula's. Great modern Greek food on the Danforth.
  • Taylor Creek Park. A long ravine park for walks, runs and bike rides.

The homes

East York is known for its post-war bungalows and detached houses, many on wide lots, along with some semi-detached homes and low-rise apartments. That mix of lot sizes is what creates the development potential, whether that means a rental unit, a second storey, a garden suite or a multiplex.
