Why we love Corso Italia

Our team and brokerage have closed many deals in Corso Italia, and we continue to choose it as one of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. Our office is a short walk away on Oakwood Avenue, so this is home turf for us.

The neighbourhood is centred on St. Clair Avenue West around Dufferin Street. The 512 St. Clair streetcar runs in its own dedicated lane and connects to St. Clair West station on Line 1, and Earlscourt Park gives you sports fields and plenty of green space at the west end of the strip.

Where to eat

  • Pizza e Pazzi. Go for the phenomenal duck ragu.
  • FBI Pizza. Known for its giant porchetta sandwiches.
  • Cano. Steps from FBI Pizza, with an unreal chicken parm.
  • Atomic 10. Some of the best tacos in the city, near St. Clair and Dufferin.
  • Tre Mari Bakery. One of Toronto's most recognizable bakeries and cafes, a St. Clair landmark for decades.

The homes

Most of Corso Italia is made up of solid brick detached and semi-detached houses built in the early 1900s, with mixed-use buildings and shops at street level along St. Clair. Many houses have basements that can be finished as a legal rental unit, and Toronto now allows up to four units on most residential lots, so the right house can work as a family home, an income property or both.
